Minding the needle

I am so excited! Needle Minders can be made
in a matter of a minute. There are no boundaries
in the creativity that you have. Take a look at mine. All of
them work very well. They costed me about 2 to 2.50 each
that is except for the bee. He was an extravagant piece that
I just had to possess. The blue lady which is a small piece of
Toile is reversible. The other side is a different fabric - with navy blue. The
rose one is also reversible but with the same fabric. Look - no magnet
thats because the magnet is hid on the inside.
I absolutely LOVE
the green ones. They are my favorites. My needle stands straight
up in the holes & I can
put multiple needles on them if I wish.
Dont be afraid of making them - they are easy. Anyone who sews
could use a needle minder - even a quilter. It will work very well if you
quilt on a frame or in a hoop. Thread a few needles &
let it hold them until you are ready to use each one.
You will be able to quilt faster. I could have used one of
these things years, years ago. Hey, do you think
that this could replace a needlebook?
Thanks for visiting me! Come again soon.

I just happened to go

into the thrift store & among the books - I found
the pattern for the Strawberry Basket. It is a 1983
pattern by Dale Burkett.

Do you need a fancy

needlebook? Does it take you hours to make? Yes everyone
would love to have beautiful things around them.
But when you dont have the time to make one
then why not use a fabric coaster. I have a set of 4
of these Daisy's. Pin your needles on
the front if you dont mind them being seen.
Or pin on the back into the felt. Another
option is sewing 2 of them back to back, be sure to
leave an opening to slip the needles in between.

I thought that you would

like to see my new Biscornu that I designed & stitched. I call it Flower Medley.
One side is brown & pink with a velvet chocolate brown
flower & the other side is yellow and pink with a velvet
pink flower. The brown & pink side stitches up very quickly.
The yellow side takes a little longer. Give me a little time & I will
post the pattern for you. By the way I forgot to tell you that on the
Phantam Butterfly biscornu the blank squares are for you to
stitch in them whatever you want. Some tiny roses or vines would look
cute on that. I hope to get around to stitching that one soon.
I hope that you like Flower Medley.
